Because of TravelPerk’s growth, the opportunities and challenges ahead of us are also scaling. We are hiring a new European-based Business Operations Associate to join our already established BizOps European team.

The BizOps team is building the connective tissue in TravelPerk; we ensure there is alignment across TravelPerk and that TravelPerk is focused on what matters. BizOps focuses on TravelPerk's most important business priorities and drives these forward. We are not internal consultants. Some consultants tend to make recommendations and then take off, avoiding any potential fallout from those recommendations. The BizOps team are analytical operators who think strategically and execute. 

You will partner with us to strategically plan and execute a variety of company-wide initiatives that will impact anything from our corporate strategy and positioning, go-to-market approaches to the integration of new acquisitions. You will be asked to think critically, plan effectively, lead cross-functionally, and execute with velocity. You will have the opportunity to work with all functions in TravelPerk to make our vision a reality.

    

What you will do:

  • Help establish our team as the first people that other functions call to think through a problem. 
  • Manage end-to-end cross-functional projects that are urgent priorities for TravelPerk’s success using a combination of data, context, and business judgment to get to the right answer.
  • Make sure teams aren't working towards different goals and that there is alignment and velocity (speed + focus). 
  • Help the business to effectively prioritize initiatives that will have the biggest impact on the organization or specific markets.
  • Constantly identify potential bottlenecks for the way we do business and triage them.
  • Build compelling narratives backed with facts to communicate proposed solutions or perspectives to senior leaders.

 

What you need:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of business operations experience, preferably in a tech startup/scale-up. Also considering candidates coming from consulting sector, investment banking, or other comparable roles. 
  • Experience in project management and execution, and/or internal operations. 
  • A proven track record executing, not just making recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate accurately, clearly, and effectively, especially in writing.
  • Analytical mindset and approach.
  • Ability to structure and define requirements for ambiguous problems. You can make decisions even with incomplete data while considering alternative scenarios.
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo and break existing setups in favor of more effective ones.
  • “Altitude shift” - ability to zoom out for high-level strategic thinking then zoom back in to prioritise and execute.
  • Super organized and detail oriented. If you were running the show, it would run on time.
  • Ability to work independently - you can own critical initiatives without requiring active oversights and input.
  • A real team player and a people connector. You can connect easily with different types of people and people at all levels in the organization, while leveraging relationships to capture more value for the company.
  • Open to feedback and hungry for continuous improvement.

 

Bonus points for… 

  • Experience with business intelligence / analytics tools.
  • Experience in corporate strategy, M&A and benchmarking.
  • Experience across the full M&A lifecycle (from pipeline to post-Day 1 integration) is a big plus.
  • Understanding of integrations - planning and implementation either from a project management office or functional perspective.
  • Some form of project management qualification.
  • MBA degree.
